“Park the RV and enjoy the beauty”
Hillcrest Acres RV Park is located east of Bismarck, North Dakota on Main Avenue just minutes from Bismarck’s major business districts and tourist attractions. All sites are pull-through and large enough to accommodate a variety of modern RVs plus there is ample parking space for your vehicle. Since taking ownership in August of 2007, the current owners have worked very hard to provide customers with a good quality RV park for their traveling experience. They have added free wireless internet, a laundromat and a small convenience store featuring items you may have forgotten to pack for your trip. Hillcrest Acres welcomes travelers and hunters with nightly rates along with discounted weekly and monthly rates.

This is a nice little campground. Clean and well kept. Adjacent to a mobile home park, but they are nice and well kept. We were in spot 11 and had good sat. reception. Wifi was mostly good, but a little slow at times. Very friendly owner and very helpful when calling in for the reservation and even came over and visited with us at our site.

Stopped here for one night on the way home to Minnesota. Called and got a spot over the phone. We opted for electrical only as we were just staying overnight. This park is adjacent to a mobile home park and there are also a lot of seasonal people as well as it looks like workers from the area. The camp is very clean. The owner was extremely helpful in helping us get a site over the phone. A little noisy in the evening with kids but then was very quiet overnight. You can hear the Hwy noise from the park, so that is the reason for the four-star as well as close quarters. Lots of open grass to walk our dogs. This is a great place to stop overnight, and the site was level. The owner texted out site, and we just came and plugged in. Would stay again. Stayed in a 25 ft Motorhome.

stayed 7 days in spot 21 from 6/5/21 - 6/12/21. Pretty much all the spots are "buddy" spots, and to make it worse the space in between some of the sites is minimal. Thankfully my neighbor didn't have a slide out or we would've been 6 feet apart. They also seemed to have redone some of the spots and there was only dirt (and mud when it rained) in between us. The place is nice, and clean, and staff is very friendly. Was pretty quite for it being almost full. Weather was terrible (100 degrees a few days, and 30+ mph wind) but nothing they can do about that. Not far from highway, but no noise whatsoever from road traffic.
Working via Peplink wasn't a problem except for 1 day where the ATT signal threshold kept failing. TMobile was present but not very strong.
Overall wouldn't stay here again for the fact of the tight spaces and there wasn't too much to do in the area, although weather factored in to that a little bit. If you like fishing or golfing, there are plenty of options for that, I just didn't get around to it.
If you are looking for craft beer or a good selection of liquor there's a store between the highway and campground in a shopping center with a solid selection of everything. Also ate at the Walrus restaurant, which doesn't look like much from the outside but had solid food and a good tap selection.

Stayed here for a week to relax and take in the sites near Bismarck and it was perfect for that. FHU sites level gravel with average spacing and well shaded. Electric only sites are on grass with no shade. Even though it was sunny and hot we were able to sit out under the trees with a delicious breeze. Small efficient laundry that could benefit from a daily wipe down. Maybe 15 min to stores. Great WiFi. Just a very relaxing vibe.

Friendly host checked us in and led us to our site. Made a great base for sites in and around Bismarck, and it was quiet at night. No problems with Starlink internet. Would stay again.

I called to see if they had tent sites because the info page in road trippers says they do. Nobody answered, so I hung up. The next day I got a call from Jean at Hilcrest Acres asking if she could be of help. That one caught me off guard for sure as I didn't even leave a message. I told her I would be traveling through that area and asked if they had tent sites. She said she had to ask the owners as there is some kind of work being done there. (I think that is what she said, I was busy at the time so I might be fuzzy on that detail.) She said she would text me back and let me know. Well, the next day I got that text and it turns out they do. So I sent my information and now have a reservation.
It's refreshing to get such customer service, and if their site is as good as their service, then I anticipate having a great place to stay. My trip is not until August, so I'll update then with what I experienced.
