“fresh, local, uncomplicated”
We love brewing. We offer high quality craft beer, brewed on premises and served directly from our tanks. Our patrons feel like they’re in the middle of a brewery...because they are. On brew day and during fermentation you will experience all the wonderful sites, smells and sounds of the brewing process. You will find familiar and not-so-familiar styles on tap. We like to keep things interesting—there’s always something new. While somewhat conservative in the big tanks you never know what we'll put on tap for small batches. Toasted coconut stout anyone? We love cooking. We have delicious carnivorous and vegetarian fare. Although beer is our specialty, we have an excellent and eclectic wine list (many from New York!).We let you move at your own pace. If you need to make it quick to catch a show or game, we'll get you in and out. If you want to hang out for hours, read, play a game or enjoy a good time with friends, we're all about that too. Order your beer and wine at the bar. Food is ordered at the service counter. We love people. All ages. All backgrounds. Our customers are the friendliest bunch you'll ever meet. The best part of our day is spent talking with our customers, many who have become friends. We make a living doing what we love. John Bleichert studied industrial brewing processes in Chicago and Germany and now handles all brewery operations for Water Street Brewing Co. John crafts Reinheitsgebot-compliant lagers and wheat ales and flavorful British, Belgian and American ales. We aim to offer perfectly balanced brews that stick (mostly) to tradition.
We got here at 1200 on a Friday. Small quiet place that already had a few ppl there right at opening. They have card/board games which was fun for us! The vegan/vegetarian options were great. Fries needed the malt vinegar (that's what makes it a 4 for me. Fries are muy impotante). Good beer, good price, free sticker!
They are very strict about the kitchen hours- the only reason I didn't give five stars. We got there at 6:10, but the kitchen stopped taking orders at 6 so we couldn't eat. The cookies on the counter are delicious though! And the staff was awesome- they do game nights with an awesome collection of board games.
