Jessie Lea RV Park & Campground

Stayed for 7 nights early August. Price was very reasonable and affordable. Full hookups. Close to town. Management very laid back. Staff and others there friendly & very helpful. Little lake and trails to walk. Well kept and quiet. Have laundry on site and close by. If I was an adventurer there were activities an hour or two drive away.
I’d definitely stay there again.

Great RV park, very welcoming, family run, clean, beautiful setting. FHUs, pretty level sites, sites near a little river and shady area are all back in. The family who owns and runs this park are super nice, extremely well kept, small but very clean laundry room, next to a charming, historic town. Nice grassy area to walk/run dogs. It's close to the freeway but very quiet at night. We stayed here when we had work about an hour away and really appreciated the relaxed, nice vibe of the campground. Highly recommend it and would stay here again.

A great RV park & Campground with plenty of access. Many pull through sites. Grass between each site. Fire pits and picnic tables at each site. Very nice owner, very friendly. The bath house was clean and decorated very nice. Looks like it has been freshly painted. A wonderful covered pavilion with lots of tables and gas grills. They even had season firewood available for a couple dollars. They even have a draw bridge to walk across the powell river to access the Big Stone Gap town's walking trail. It is truly a hidden gem.

We always have our Bicycles with us when we travel. I read about this place and it sounded nice, we love any campground where there’s a creek or river running through it. I read there was a river. And I asked on the phone for a river site. I told the lady I would not be there for a couple hours, but she did not make me make a reservation. When we got there, a few hours later, though, she did have a river site for us! And much to our surprise, across the river was a bicycle paved trail. We love any paved trails, so this was an extra special place… Ducks swimming in the river, and a bicycle trail around a sweet little town. Full hook up as well!

Easy access to the highway, roomy and level site, gorgeous view of the nearby mountain. Staff was welcoming and the campground was beautifully decorated for the season and very well maintained. We loved everything about our visit- the town is close by and small, super friendly people, delicious food and several choices of cafes and restaurants; great museums and close to Natural Tunnel State Park (a very unique site!) The paved bike trail around town was so scenic, it was fantastic! Also, they had the best wifi we’ve found anywhere…I can’t say enough about this campground!
