“the story of woodstock”
The Museum at Bethel Woods is an integral part of the campus and the inspiration for our programming. Inside you’ll find the permanent Main Exhibit, Woodstock and The Sixties, rotating special exhibits, the Event Gallery, classroom, Bindy Bazaar Museum Shop, and Yasgur’s Farm Café. The Museum tells the story of the ’60s and the making of the 1969 Woodstock festival. It embodies the movements and ideals of a generation that remain relevant today… peace, connection to the environment, civility, and kindness. This immersive multi-media experience will take you on a journey through time with artifacts, films, music, and more. We also offer regularly scheduled tours with trained volunteers and docent.
