Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on August 20, 2021It was raining and extremely muddy the night we got in. Our RV got stuck backing in and everyone was very helpful. We also had trouble filling the tire with air the next morning and everyone at WPC went above and beyond to assist us. Definitely will go back if we’re ever in the area.
We came to this campground because of a Family Reunion in Purcerville VA and this is the closest. The road into the Hollow and down to the river is steep w lots of curves and turns to dirt but navigable if you go slow. The CG during the week is peaceful and wonderful, however from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening it becomes tent city! Very well managed and secure and the grounds are kept very clean. Also they patrol and keep down any loud music! Everyone is here to enjoy the river. Bath facilities are fine but showers cost 50 cents. We had 20 family and friends for a "trailer trash Sunday Brunch" after tubing down the river for two hours and it was a perfect location. A day pass to the park is $10 per person if you have visitors. The river and all that it offers make this CG park worthwhile. We would stay here again if in the area.

A beautiful quiet campground right on the Shanondoah River in Virginia. During the week, there aren’t many RVers which is great. Makes you feel like you have the whole property to yourself. I’m in the food industry so my days off are usually Sunday to Tuesday, and it works perfectly because most campgrounds aren’t congested.
The river is only few steps away and right now in the month of October is a great time to come and see all the different colors of fall. The trees have all turned and it’s just a pleasant view to have from your rig’s window.
I live in Virginia so this location falls under “local spot” for me and i am so happy it’s only a 45 minute drive for me to get here. Definitely coming back again

Facilities for a 38’ Class A coach towing a car were good. The campground attendant was helpful. No sewer at site. Dump station is easy access. Water pressure good, electric stable and 50 amp. Our site had 20, 30 and 50 amp connections.
AT&T cell service was two bars and worked fine. Broadcast TV had several channels.

Paid for one night, no attendant, no one answered the phone. No water despite being charged, no open bathrooms. Only a few long term-ers there who said water delivery could be arranged. Site we rented did not appear to be marked. There is some construction underway so maybe they are making improvements, and the location is quite nice, but i would wait to see how it settles out before going back and would not do so before the water is back on.

This was for Memorial Day weekend, we got one of the last spots a week and a half before. We only had 30 - 20 amp which worked out well as the weekend was on the mild side, some rain as well, so we really did not need 50 amps. Our site was huge but unlevel, had the front end up 18" off the ground, Class A gasser. Yes I would get the same spot, just move up a bit more than where I was. It was too cold for us to go tubing but there were some in the water, some were fishing, some in boats. Sites are water and electric, most have 50 amp ours did not, however I heard they are getting ready to put it in soon so all would have 20, 30, 50 amps. They have stopped tent camping there, must be because of the neighborhood bears, they didn't want to take a risk of bears looking for snacks on the ground. If you want a campfire, you will need to have an above ground fire pit, their wood was seasoned/dry but a little pricier than most. Access to the campground is on long country roads which can get narrow at times, but drivable. One of the ways in goes down to a one lane road for about quarter mile but it was fine. There camp store was bare necessities, if you forgot something you probably have a 50/50 shot of them having it. The did have ice cream.
After finding this place on a web search, their website is confusing but, navigable/ simple setup but no information on it, tried calling went to voicemail, no response. the best way is to email them, they will get back to you the next day.
We are putting this campground at the top of our home bases and will be coming back often.

DID NOT HONOR RESERVATION WHILE POCKETING MY DEPOSIT. While some may have a positive impression of this Park and the its owner, in our 3 years of full time RVing we have never been treated so poorly. The RV Park did not honor my reservation over the week of Memorial Day 2021 – a reservation made six months in advance (28 Nov 2020) on their online website, and further refused to refund to me the deposit on the reservation. Upon speaking to the manager one-week prior to our reservation, the manager was extremely rude, callous and insulting. When I offered to provide email copies of both my reservation confirmation and transaction deposit receipt as proof of my reservation, he basically called me a liar by totally refusing to acknowledge my reservation. When asked who I could speak with to receive a refund on my deposit, the manager said he was the final authority, told me “F.U.” and hung up the phone on me. I wrote Mr. Miller the Park owner directly, and in my letter dated 23 May 2021 providing both copies of my email receipt and reservation confirmation and explained the situation of his park not honoring my reservation. I requested he do the right thing and return my paid deposit. Five weeks later, I have heard nothing from Mr. Miller or the Park; no phone call, no email, no letter response. Basically, his RV Park ruined our planned Memorial Day weekend with grandsons (imagine trying to book another place one week before a holiday), and he kept my $50 reservation deposit. If you check Google reviews you will find I am not the only one to fall victim to their online reservation scam.

I can't recommend until they build a new bathhouse. It was dirty, old and smelly. Feces in multiple toilets. You risk a staph infection if you step on shower floor. Clientele is sketchy.
Fifty dollars per night is expense given condition of bath house and no sewer hookup.
