“an exceptional American bistro”
The Ideal Place, a colorful bistro situated in the heart of Benton Harbor’s Art District, Has re-opened under original owner, Chris Kasperzak, and local favorite, Ideal Place Chef, Barb Clark. Chris & Barb ran the Ideal Place together until, with heavy hearts, decided to close the restaurant in 2007, planning to ease into retirement. During the time they have been closed until present day, Chris and Barb continued to cater on occasion as well as having numerous dinner parties. This and their passion to help the community have fueled them into reopening the popular eatery, filling the void of fine & unique dining in Benton Harbor. Chris and Barb are dedicated to keeping with the core of what was successful for the Ideal Place and its customer base. Keeping the familiar menu as well as adding in new product lines will help attract and retain customers. The emphasis is to build on the restaurant’s success in the past, but to also reflect and usher in a new decade of dining in the Benton Harbor Arts District.
