“Enjoy a Slice of Vermont!”
Having lived in Bennington for over 34 years, we've seen Main Street from the window of a car passing by; there is a character that is perceived from that vantage point. Once you walk along Main Street you experience a different sense of the character of the town. As you enter the businesses along our Main Street you meet the owners and the employees and you start to understand the community that Main Street represents. The location at 604 Main Street is one that we'd driven by many times. We knew it as the location with the large front porch, nestled into the downtown landscape. The Valentine Street end of the building is the longtime home of The Mexican Connection, a shop owned and operated by Rosita Sleeman which offers unique jewelry, clothing and artwork from Mexico. The business location is unique in that it is not quite in the main business district area of Main Street, but in that transitional space between business and neighborhood residences. Benners is a family owned and operated eatery. Having over 30 years of experience in the pizza and deli business... with a large family... the thought of having our own family business took root and when the experience of the often driven by Main Street location came to realization… the two just clicked. Benners serves a wide range of tastes, from our specialty calzones and pizzas that many have claimed as "the best ever" to our wings, soups, sandwiches, wraps and salads. We carry Vermont's own Wilcox ice cream and Green Mountain Coffee. Just check out our menu... if there is something missing... just ask Kim: she loves to find a way to give the customers what they are looking for. Offering gluten free pizza is just one example of that. Benners is open if you need a morning cup of coffee or a bagel, breakfast sandwich or breakfast calzone on your way to work. We are also there for you for lunch right on up to a late night snack. As long as the open sign is lit in the window, we are ready to serve you. If you can't make it to us Benner's can deliver to you. Benners offers interior dining where you can take care of your hunger while you catch the game, go online with our free wireless, or relax and talk with your friends. In the warmer months Benners has wonderful shady outdoor dining right along Main Street. It really offers the best of both worlds and is very accessible.
