Built in 1893, Mont Rest is nestled halfway up a 9 acre wooded bluff overlooking one of the most panoramic views of the mighty Mississippi River (two of the largest gambling boats on the Mississippi are close by). We're the perfect setting for a honeymoon, anniversary, or just a weekend getaway offering a luxurious alternative to a nearby Galena bed and breakfast. We offer twelve luxurious guest rooms with private baths, many with fireplaces and Jacuzzis. All of our luxury rooms feature working fireplaces (seasonal), Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtubs, cable TV, VCR/DVD, heated towel bars, Egyptian cotton towels, guest robes, hair dryers, and handmade chocolates. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are available in our main floor kitchen, and we offer such services as in-room therapeutic massage and reflexology. Our concierge service includes reserving tee times at the Bellevue Golf Club, arranging canoe trips on the Maquoketa River, making dinner reservations for area restaurants, getting tickets to local sporting and theater events in the surrounding area, and other information on tourist related activities.
