We stayed at this state park for a few nights to visit Winterhur and Longwood Gardens. It was a perfect spot to see some of the sights in northern Delaware and the surrounding area. The park is well kept and the employees and camp hosts were awesome.

It's all good at this campground. Clean bathrooms with hot private showers. Lots of space between sites. Trails right from campground go around the pond. My site had a fair amount of shade as did many of the others. Cell signal both on Verizon and AT&T are good. The sites are paved and fairly level. Really the only small knock is there is no privacy screening between sites.
The sites on the outside are the more desirable ones, in my opinion. Sites 39 and 31 looked to me to offer the most privacy. I wish I had brought my kayak.

A lovely, grassy campground with nicely spaced full-hook-up sites that are decently level. Most have some sort of tree cover, although a few are out in the open.
This park is chock-full of trails and wildlife. Lots of turtles in the pond.
But... no swimming. So when it’s hot (and summer 2020 has been HOT), the options for recreating are... warm. Lots of fishing and non-motorized boat opportunities. $8/hr for canoe/kayak rental a quick drive across the pond. There is also a big ropes/zip line course across the park (a drive) for a hefty fee.
The park store is small but cute. There is a playground and laundry, as well as bathrooms and showers.
There are a few sites designated for tents - but tents are also welcome to use any site.
Overall, just a really nice campground.
Verizon was highly usable for data.

Great campground with friendly hosts. Spacious sites with full hookups. Blacktop level pads with grassy shaded sites. New smaller store that is being stocked with additional items through the summer. Pond/Lake is great for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Rentals available.

Only got to stay here one night but will come back. Site have full hookup with 30 and 50 amp. The area is semi- wooded and the site are kind of close. But due to the price for a full site its worth it.

Stayed here Fri-Mon with 28ft trailer, easy to back in. Asphalt pads, was level E/W, had to lower our tongue pretty far for N/S, center of loop is open with some trees where the sites are, sadly it seems they are having a die off of some trees (not all ash). Sites on outer part of loop a little nicer as far as trees and view. Sites were a really good size. Campground isn't huge, it was very quiet, people are friendly. Camp store is brand new and stocked with just the right stuff. My teenage girls used the shower house and said it was very clean. The rest of the SP is accessible by dirt trail or car, so you may find yourself driving to the other part of the park, bring your camping car pass. GoApe is always a blast. Nice firewood at the store. POURED rain 2 out of the three nights, if you are a tent camper remember that DE is very flat, be very choosy about where you put your tent on the site. A few sites on the pond side have pond access trails.
Cell service, we have a WeBoost. ATT - pretty good w/o WeBoost, excellent with, Verizon ok w/o, good w/, tmobile really bad w/o, just ok w/. Seemed like there was a major slow down in service for tmobile during the day. (my service star ratings are w/o WeBoost).

Camped here the week before Thanksgiving 2020, in site 29 along the pond, great spot! Took my 2 dogs to the dog park, all open trails, spent about three hours here! Weather didn't cooperate all that much most of the time, but it was beautiful!

Our GPS wanted to take us to the main park entrance on Howell School Rd versus Red Lion Rd to the campground entrance on the other side of the pond. The gate and store were not open so we went directly to back-in site 26 with FHUs. Our reservations sheet and vehicle pass were on the post when we arrived. Back-in was okay with having to swing our F-450 and 39’ 5th wheel into the grass between sites across the street. Utilities were smartly placed at the middle of the pad. We had 2 to 3 bars on Verizon and 2 bars on AT&T. However, we had trouble with AT&T maintaining internet on our Weingard Connect. The CG is in two loops. Sites 1-30 make up the first loop and that is where most of the larger rigs camped. A rough estimate (double check site size online) is that sites 12 - 18 will take larger rigs up to around 45’ but you’ll need to park your tow vehicle or toad angled in front of your rig. Our site was long enough for our 39’ fifth wheel but we had to park our truck at an angle as well. The second loop does have larger sites but is mainly suited for small rigs to include a tent area. Both loops have a large grass field in the middle that the sites back up to, which is great for playing outside games and without many trees so you could use satellite from almost all the sites. From a spaciousness point of view, the best site in the CG is 17, but it is near the walking trail. The shower house also contains a small laundry with 3 washers and 4 dryers that are reasonably priced, although one washer was out of service at the time. However, there was not a change machine. You could purchase firewood from one of the on duty camp hosts. A short drive from the campground to another Lum’s Pond State Park area there’s a really cool dog park where you can walk the dogs off leash down trails with open play areas along the pond. One of the best features of this off-leash area is how secluded it is away from the main road. We also found out that the State Park is haunted but we didn't see or hear anything weird. If in the area, we would stay here again.
