“An antenna to the heavens”
This crucifix is the largest in the world. The design is more abstract than your usual crucifix, and it resembles a ship's mast to some extent. This crucified Christ overlooks a cemetery in quaint Bardstown, KY, and it has withstood winds and storms of all kinds to remain standing.
Located in a cemetery. The crucifix itself is a wire-framed piece. Kind of a very out-there interpretation on the subject matter. I would not make the trip out just for this, but if you're passing through nearby, take a quick look.
Not the largest. The largest one in the World is in Indian River, Michigan, called Cross in the Woods. Check it out.
It is not where the map indicates. Follow the lane to the Roman Catholic Church and it is there in the cemetery.
