Devil's Lake State Park

Excellent family camping! By far the cleanest campground I have ever been to. We stayed with our kids in Quartzite camp ground. The sites are large so you can see all of the campers, but your neighbor isn't listening in on your conversations. The grounds are very well kept and mowed. The bathrooms and showers are modern and super clean! Every staff member was very friendly, from the entrance to the ice cream shops.
There are two beaches. The sand beach is shallow and the water is so clear. On the other side of the lake is a pebble beach. We needed water shoes, but it was much less crowded and the kids loved looking for rocks. There are breathtaking hiking trails for all levels of hiking abilities. Don't miss the paddle boat rentals, cute little ice cream/ gift shops, and nature center. About 20 minutes to Wisconsin Dells which came in handy when it rained one day. I cant say enough about this place!

Really clean and well kept, tent camping sites are a good size and there is plenty of privacy for each site. You have to do the balancing rock trail if you feel up for the challenge, don't miss it!

Great place to swim and hike for the day. Be cautious on the rock slopes there are large timber rattlesnakes hiding out in there.

So much fun, but finding footing under snow on teetering rock and potholes trails was tricky. Will be back.

I hiked the fallen rocks trail and the bluff. Note to self:bluff means a lot of uphill. Quite the workout but the views are so worth it.

Beautiful really big park. Really easy to get to all the dells attractions from here as well. Only about 15-20 mins. Busy place but the sites are nice and large. The bathroom we were by could use an update but we just drove to the newer one and it had nice showers. We are kind of spoiled by South Dakota park bathrooms but these all worked fine. Would definitely camp here again! The water was very nice to swim in and not too cold.
