Wood and charcoal fires permitted in providedcampsite grills only. No gathering of down wood, wood may be purchased at the general store. Laundry and showers located near the campground for a fee.
The ONLY reason it gets two stars is because of the location. It is conveniently located a mile from the south entrance as well as nearby restaurants and general store. That being said, this has been the most expensive and awful campsite we have stayed on our road trip. Campsites are practically on top of each other. No amenities what so ever (you have to pay to shower)... no dog park... no views... dirt and rocks with extremely minimal grass patches. If we could get a refund and stay an hour away instead we would.
The Grand Canyon is an amazing and truly inspiring place. Also, the place is perfect for relaxation and short trips like family activities and sometimes also perfect for romantic activities. In the case of Grand Canyon Village, the place is quiet and also the amenities are great and there are a lot of activities you can enjoy aside from the ones I mentioned.
