Austin Books & Comics

Austin Books has been in business since 1977 and has gone through many changes. Originally called Austin Books & Fantasy, we have added Science Fiction and Comics to our pedigrees. We are now almost exclusively a comic book store, although we still have our old sign with a unicorn on it out front and we are comfortable with that. The bookshelves are lined up by company, creator or genre. Within each section, they are aligned by family. Please don't hesitate to ask for assistance - Brad does all the time. Central Texas’ biggest, longest-running comics and pop culture retailer, Austin Books & Comics has been helping fans discover their favorite comics since 1977.  Austin Books is a multiple Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retail finalist, and was inducted into the Austin Chronicle's 'Best Of'’ Hall of Fame.  The Austin Chronicle has referred to Austin Books & Comics as “the Library of Alexandria of comics,” while Ain’t It Cool News says that Austin Books is the “one-stop shop for anything comic related.”
