We’ve been an Austin tradition for 40 years.  We’re still family-owned and operated and serve the best burger in town!

Fran’s used to be Dan’s, but that changed somewhere down the line. There have been a lot of versions as to the how’s and why’s… Most of them way more interesting than the real one. We’ll let you go with your version.

Fran’s continues to serve the original “Top Choice” ground chuck that we started with in 1973 and we still season it like we always have. We also cut our produce fresh every morning. We use those tasty toasted Mrs. Baird’s hamburger buns. And last but not least, don’t be surprised to see 2nd and 3rd generation family members cooking your burgers with the same care and attention that has made Fran’s your favorite burger place and the success it has been for the last 40-plus years!

So come in and sit for awhile at our Cameron Road location. (Sadly, Our 40 year lease came to an end in 2013 at our Original Congress Avenue location.) Here, you can still get the same old fashioned hamburger and enjoy our healthy, hearty all-American Breakfast at the Cameron Road location!
