Firehouse Lounge

The Firehouse Hostel is located in the upper floors of the oldest standing Firehouse in downtown Austin, built in 1885.  We are just a stones throw away from the main entertainment and nightlife strip, Austin's infamous 6th Street.   While updating the building to 21st century standards, we’ve worked to maintain the old world charm and structure of the original firehouse. Featuring a kitchen and common area, free breakfast each morning, free wifi, clean and accessible bathrooms, and a variety of room styles (not to mention easy access to our adjacent Firehouse Lounge), our hostel is an ideal stop for any traveler. Our helpful staff is available 24/7 and is full of information on Austin’s nightlife districts, outdoor activities, shopping, public transportation and museums. Stop by the front desk for last-minute travel goods to make your stay more enjoyable. We have toothbrushes, razors, and any of your last-minute needs available for purchase.
