“Informative, Educational, and Engaging”
We strive to inspire the citizens of Atlanta and Georgia and all visitors to the Zoo to value wildlife on Earth and to help safeguard existing species through conservation. We do this by: Providing an informative, educational, and engaging experience, being respectful and responsible stewards of the animals and the physical and financial assets entrusted to us, and engaging in related conservation activities and research.
Some people think our Atlanta Zoo is small, but we know great things come in small packages.
My favorite? Feeding the giraffes! With free parking, it's affordable too!
Here are 26 things we love to do in our zoo!
Zoo Atlanta’s new Treetop Trail encourages you “walk on the wild side!” It’s an aerial adventure with ladders, bridges, nets, tightrope-style walking…and so much more! The boys and I ventured there and are ready to report back the entire scoop! Here are five things you need to know about this new Zoo Atlanta attraction.
A smaller zoo than I was expecting, but bigger than I realized compared to its parking lot. Having pandas was cool. And being able to feed a giraffe was an absolute joy.
Nice zoo. Lots of shade. It didn't feel like endless walking, because there was something to see everywhere. Next time I'd buy passes to the rides, bring swim clothes, and pack a lunch. We'll be back again when we come to Georgia. My son fed the giraffes which he absolutely loved.
Nice little Zoo. Lots of shade to walk through in the heat.
Zoo Atlanta is a beautifully designed zoo with lots of animals that I've never seen before! My only complaint is that although it is wheelchair accessible, the weelchairs are not complimentary, and very VERY few doors have an auto-open button. My friend is disabled and it was a struggle trying to open all the doors and wheeling her through. Thankfully some friendly zoo-goers helped us out. Over-all, a beautiful zoo as long as you can walk!
Very busy even for a zoo! Some of the exhibits though were very nice. If going to Atlanta I would recommend getting the Zoo/Aquarium combo pass.
I love this place . If I could live here I would .
Very dirty place. Granted, it is a zoo, but still. In my opinion, Zoo ATL is not worth visiting. Spend your money on a trip to the aquarium instead.
