A stunning cross ocean drive from Astoria, Oregon over to Washington. I think we saw 5 Bald eagles sitting on poles as we took the drive. Its a quick jaunt when visiting Astoria and well worth the time to catch the view and experience mid inlet views a badass bridge.

Driving over the bridge isn’t for the faint of heart. But it is definitely a good photo opportunity. The logs you see sticking out of the water is where the port used to be. Now, it’s on the other side of the bay, but from this side you can watch the ships coming in from a distance, it’s pretty cool. I give it a 3-star because there’s not really a good observation point that I could find, so getting a unique shot of the bridge is difficult.

When driving over this bridges, parts of it run right at waterline for a few miles. Amazing way to see the Oregon & Washington Coastal towns!

The roller coaster bridge is a neat entry point but it’s just a bridge either way. You can’t miss it.
