“Seasonal American Cuisine”
Table is a small, seasonal New American restaurant in the heart of downtown Asheville. Always inventive, at times whimsical, our daily changing menu is inspired by the wealth of culinary traditions represented in our country, paying particular homage to the South. Since opening our doors in 2005, we committed to supporting, celebrating, and showcasing regional and sustainable agriculture, forming long-standing relationships with farmers and purveyors in Western NC and throughout the Southeast along the way.
Table is Asheville's original farm-to-table restaurant, serving unfussy composed plates built around the abundance of local produce and meats. Start with an appetizer like Border Springs lamb tartare with preserved lemon and red onion before digging into entrees that could include things like Watauga County rabbit braised with muscadine grapes and puntarelle. In the mood for a tasting menu? Chef Jacob Sessoms will happily oblige with six to seven courses of both on- and off-menu dishes. The wine list is diverse and interesting, with many bottles from cult California importer and natural wine guru Kermit Lynch.
