Riverside RV Resort & Campground

Had a great weekend playing pickle ball, canoeing the peace river, hanging out by the pool and activity center.
Friendly staff and excellent location.

We stayed here several months while renovating our home. We enjoyed kayaking & fishing in the Peace River. Riverside RV Resort has both a boat ramp and a separate canoe/kayak launch. The staff was professional and courteous. Their daily trash pick-up servic was a great convenience. We were very impressed by the Emergency Action Plan, which the management provided to each tenant as Hurricane Elsa made a close approached to the area. Easy access off of I-75 onto Kings Highway with a Wallmart and numerous food chains just a few minutes away.

Riverside is a Snowbird RV Park in winter but we have stayed here at all times of the year. The park is clean and very well maintained. Fantastic office staff. It is a great park. Lots of activities in winter. Walmart and shopping about 4 miles down the road.

As our third stay at a Thousand Trails park, we continue to enjoy the opportunity to stay at these parks. It has a very organized staff that followed up on our questions quickly and courteously.. Very nice amenities. Though long-term campers make up a good portion of the population, we felt comfortable as passers-through and talked to others who felt the same. We enjoyed the proximity to Port Charlotte's beaches and especially enjoyed visiting the Wildlife Refuge in Punta Gorda. In addition, we canoeing with Peace River Paddle and saw some fabulous sights. We will do this again sometime!
Only one real negative--on our last Friday there, someone had a party with some truly terrible karaoke in a shelter close to our campsite. However, they finished well before dark and at least gave us something to complain about. :)
