A parking lot of a campground but spaces are wide and there was not a homeless problem in this area so that is nice. People do go up and down the beach and walkway all day so just be prepared, but the location and sunsets cant be beat. No hook ups in A or B sections.

Great beach, dolphins swam by every night.
Bathrooms and other facilities run down. Super narrow sites. Right on the beach. Constant foot traffic.
Still, people line up to camp here, and I see why: the wildlife and beach are fantastic.
ATT service is sporadic and bad.

We are in the non hookup sites which is basically a parking lot but spaces are super wide and we are on the beach.
I was prepared for noise but it's actually quieter than many other campgrounds, the waves help! You can walk down the beach to a couple restaurants .8 miles.
You can also Uber into Capitola, they pick you up at your site.

Do you like people watching?
Do you like the sound of waves crashing all day and night?
Do you like being walking distance to tasty cafes, restaurants and a Safeway?
Do you like the smoke and smell of wood-burning fire pits?
Do you like losing electricity for 4+ hours in the middle of the night?
Do you like listening to Baby Boomers blast TV football events and bad yacht rock from the exterior speakers of their RV’s?
If so... you’ll love Seacliff State Beach!
This was our second visit and we enjoy this campground very much. Even though there’s little to zero privacy between sites and, in the FHU sites, our sewer dump was awkwardly close to our neighbor’s “patio area” (our neighbors positioned their beach chair about 14 inches from our sewer dump hole). You can’t beat the sights and ocean wave sounds and proximity to sandy beaches here at Seacliff State Beach. We showed up without reservations, played the “lottery”, and scored full hookups both nights. We lost power in the wee hours of the morning on the second night. Friendly Camp Host said it was an ongoing problem with the breaker for sites 1-16(?). He has been resetting it constantly only to have it keep going out. Deferred maintenance?? Probably.
Bathrooms are modest, tired, and kept marginally clean.
Keep your expectations in check and you’ll absolutely love camping here!

Right across from the beach - there is only a walkway and fence between you and the beach. You can walk to Capitola on one side and to Aptos in other directions (a strip mall and a bunch of restaurants, grocery store, fastfood places are in walking distance).
Camping site itself is just a parking lot for section A. No picnic tables or fireplace - bring them with you. Site boundary marked by lines on tar. Width of each site is about double RV width. Depth was about 40 feet. - Further up (sections C and D?) have full hookups and have a sandy raised area between sites with picnic tables etc.
Apart from ocean waves - it was quiet. Moderately clean. Verizon cell coverage was good except in bathrooms.
