With so much to do day and night, Disney California Adventure Park has something for every member of your family.
Over price, cheap thrills, too many people pushing and shoving, food prices were rediculous. The happiest place in the world is any but happy. Go see the redwoods or the ocean, it's free but for transportation cost.
This was the first park we went to on our 2-Days Disney trip. I've been to the other Disneyland resorts, but have never visited California Adventures, therefore, I had no idea what would be in store. Once the park opened, our first instincts was to get a fastpass for Radiator Springs Racers. We were so glad we did because the line for the ride throughout the day was well above 120mins. I definitely got a different vibe at California Adventures than Disneyland, which is not a bad thing. We managed to go on a day that wasn't incredibly packed, which allowed us to get on most rides. I totally recommend going on California Screaming. It really gives you the thrills! I want to go back!
This the rides at this park were pretty awesome, however there's no way you could ride every ride in one day. The lines were awful, but that was to be expected. What was not expected was the number of times I got plowed down by a mom pushing a stroller. The park was so jammed packed and it would have been so much better if the park only allowed a certain number of people in each day so that you could actually walk from ride to ride without incident and cut the wait times down as well.
If you have a couple small kids, you could honestly buy the Park Hopper tickets and blow through a week here in no time. It's a great park, not as amazing as Disney World, or Universal Studios in Orlando, but pretty rad nonetheless. The Tower of Terror is my favorite Disney ride. It's a crazy free-fall drop. The lines however are really crappy.
While it might be overshadowed by Disneyland, California Adventure is still pretty rad in its own right. Tons to do, see the Avengers (I got to meet Captain America), great rides. Guardians of the galaxy is worth the wait. I went during the week in mid December and the lines weren’t that bad. Food is expensive, but it’s Disney, so you’re going to lay more. Better to just accept that and plan accordingly. The Incredicoaster was really fun too. Caught a parade and rode a number of other rides before heading to Disneyland. They’re both really fun, and this one is worth checking out!
Best trip ever!
Loved that California Adventure and Disneyland are so close❤️
Teens enjoyed all the rides!
It's Disney! What else do you need? As other's have said you need more than one day unless you want to spend your time running to every show, ride or attraction. We had a 4 day park hopper and ended up buying an extra day because we had so much fun. You'll have a better experience if you do this:
*Go early - If Cali. Adventure has the early morning opening then go to the opposite park. The early park will always be the most crowded.
*Go during the week - Obvious reasons (school, work etc)
*First 2 weeks in June - Cali kids do not get out of school until mid June so for those who get out in May you'll have a couple of weeks where you have some elbow room.
* Make a game plan and plan your day to save on the back and forth of getting fast passes. Be efficient with you time and energy and you'll enjoy the small things the park has to offer. (Drawing lessons, fun time with the different Mickeys, Disney JR Live)
Disneyland is a classic that you must visit. If comparing it to Disney World, though, it doesn't stand a chance. The lines were long, the kids were screaming and I feel as if there are many repair and updates that Disneyland could use. Disney World is way ahead, with air conditioned queue lines, interactive games while you wait and the many choices of resorts. I was disappointed that Disneyland wasn't more with the times, so to speak. However, still a great experience. Loved the CARS ride, California Screamin' and the fact that the characters are out and about walking around. They are definitely more interactive here than in Florida!
It was an amazing experience but there is no way you could possibly ride all the rides there are a ton of rides the lines were ok but the best time to go is during the week not spring break but like just during the week but it was amazing
