“Good music, cold cold beer & mmm good food!”
Iconic route 66 establishment that often has live music and good pub grub. Burgers, buffalo burgers, chili and stew, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken breast sandwiches, and of course, some pie! The legendary GoldenLight Cantina was established in 1996 and has since become the premier live music venue in Amarillo. Featuring an eclectic mix of national acts and local favorites, the Cantina is known for great live music and its laid back atmosphere. It has become a regular stop for many distinguished and emerging artists such as: Joe Ely, The Gourds, Eleven Hundred Springs, Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Uncle Lucius, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Cooder Graw, Charlie Shafter, Todd Snider, Junior Brown, Band of Heathens, Wheeler Brothers, Shinyribs, Rob Baird and the list goes on and on and on to the googolplex.
Golden Light is a fantastic Route 66 stop! Great food and friendly service. A cold beer is a must have accompaniment to their great burgers!
Good food. Good music. Dingy, somewhat divey vibe. It's the perfect little bar. Some big name bands have played here too. Def. check it out if you're stick in Amarillo for the night.
Great food! Great Service! Great atmosphere! Oh and I bought one of their tank tops and it's super comfortable.... so there's that too
Awesome food and service!!! Check it out! Would defiantly come back!!
Established in 1946, this is Route 66 roadhouse in the purest sense of the word. They often have live music, and always fresh-cut fries. A pretty cool stop along the route, just not super kid-friendly, obviously, I mean it's a bar. :)
