The Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts houses a 1300 seat auditorium, rehearsal/education room, spacious multi-level lobby, and numerous dressing rooms. It is designed with acoustical excellence in mind and serves as a landmark in downtown Amarillo. It is equipped with a one-of-a-kind orchestra shell that retracts into an upstage garage area to reveal a fully equipped road house. Featuring a sprung dance floor, hydraulic orchestra pit, and complete fly system, the Globe-News Center is equipped to host the smallest meeting to the largest road show. panhandletickets box office, located at Entrance 1 of the Amarillo Civic Center, is open Monday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. If an event happens to fall on a Sunday or holiday, the box office will be open for sales that day. Tickets may be charged by phone at 806-378-3096 with Visa or MasterCard. All tickets are subject to additional fees. A three dollar ($3) handling fee is charged for each telephone or internet order. Mail orders can be mailed to: panhandletickets “Name of Show” P.O. Box 1971 Amarillo, TX 79105 Tickets are also available at all United Supermarkets in Amarillo, Borger, Canyon, Dalhart, Dumas and Pampa from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.
