Big Dune is a formation of sand dunes, cresting approximately 300 feet above surrounding terrain. The dune formation and surrounding land is administered by the BLM and is open to motorized and non-motorized recreational uses. Big Dune is accessible from Valley View Road, approximately 2.5 miles south of U.S. 95. Alien Cathouse is one of Nevada's legal brothels. It is located near the corner of U.S. 95 and SR 373. Longstreet Hotel, Casino, and RV Resort is a full-service hotel and casino with restaurants and a RV park. The hotel is located on SR 373, near the Nevada–California border. The hotel is popular with visitors to nearby Death Valley National Park.

Just impressive, for a moment you may think you are in the Sahara desert. Be careful if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle and want to get close.

Directions are wrong. No signs. We could see it from miles away, but never found how to get to it. Game Warden stopped us while on dirt road and attempted at directions . . . After an hour, we finally just turned around. Disappointing.

***** PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO GO TO NEAR THE DUNES****
Beautiful desolate dunes but don't go to near. (don't go past the sign - wood panel 1 mile in). We got stuck with a SUV and had to be towed (200$) It seems they make a business out of this ?#%?*)??? since there is no sign telling you to stop or to be cautious. To get help you will need to walk in the sand under the boiling sun for 1 mile to the nearest road and wave at (rare) cars to stop. Cellphone didn't work - no signal. Please be careful and think about going there. Our visit turned into a nightmare.
