“over two dozen wine varieties”
The Civil War-era building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, features a tasting room, a 10,000 square foot production facility, three Civil war era underground limestone tunnels and a spacious outdoor terrace with Lake Michigan views. Take a tour of our Algoma, Wisconsin winery, have a taste from over two dozen wine varieties we produce, and learn how we make our award-winning wines! Our Wisconsin fine wines are made from fresh Door County fruit as well as California and Washington State’s finest fruits. The 25 varieties from our Algoma, Wisconsin winery range from traditional grape wines to intense fruit wines made with Door County cherries. Sample our Gold Medal winning Cabernet Sauvignon, or try our brandy fortified cherry wine. Experience our #1 selling Riesling or taste the smooth, round tannins of our Merlot, aged in French oak.
Dry wine before you hit the sweetness of most door county wines. The tasting is hosted by knowledgeable stewards. Can buy cheese and crackers and sit by the water and enjoy. Ambiance is not pretentious and very midwesterly.
