“built by kids, lasting generations”
This outdoor statue was built over 40 years ago in the 1970s by local high school students. It still stands - or sits - today, located between the street and a parking lot. The serpent splits in the middle to allow cars to drive underneath it, but otherwise, it's a pretty rad thing. Awesome photo op!
Fun to see. It's outside the high school performing arts center.
Went just to go. Didn't get out but nice to see.
This was NOT worth driving to! It is in a bad area with lots of homeless people. We didn’t even get out of the car to take photos like we’ve been doing to document our trip. It’s in the parking lot of a performing arts school. The paint is faded and there are holes in each segment of the sea serpent.
Really disappointed. Statues are broken and the paint is deteriorated. Not worth the stop.
A decades-old high school art project in a high school parking lot. Seeking it out was probably more fun than seeing what we found. Regardless, I'm glad we went out of the way to find it.
Cool...
