Quaint historic shops. Authentic Indian pottery, jewelry, baskets, art, and every kind of souvenir. The people of Alburquerque are some of the nicest and most helpful people I have ever met. Some of the areas around Old town have done very poor neighborhoods in the vicinity and are not well kept, but a day of sightseeing, shopping and lunch in the square is a must do for first time visitors along with Sandia Peak Tram.
This is by far the trashiest city, old town, and state I have ever been to. Every single person (local) at every stop we made had a horrible attitude. The people working at cafes and restaurants were miserable. Save your time and just pass through NM.
