The place can fill up and get loud, but the access with a boat launch and easy to launch kayaks is great. The offshore areas to explore and dive and fish is what makes it all worth it. If you are not fishing oriented or want peace and quiet, I would say go somewhere else, but I have been camping here of years and love the easy access plus hook ups if you need as well a nice store and place to eat. Hot showers as well if you do not have them in your rig. It can get windy and the fog can come in, but the beach is private and dogs area welcome. Once again I really just go here to spearfish, kayak and dive so most people will be doing something along these lines. They now good Verizion service too.

This is a really great location right under a very tall bridge. It has a direct beach access too, which is very cool. I think $58/night for only water and 30amps is a little high, even for CA. The sites were not that level and had not been mowed. The playground was not open. The road into the park is super steep. The sign says 14% grade and it has a pretty tight switchback that is tight with just your truck. VERY tight and steep with a trailer. WATCH your bedsides when coming down or going up if you have a 5th wheel and hope you don't meet someone else coming the opposite direction. The campsite was full on Saturday night, but not too noisy. Lots of kids and families. Zero cell service from ATT, but campground wifi seemed to work well enough.

This campground is good for big RV, for fishing/crabbing, a little expensive for us, 50 for partial hookup with water and electricity, fire ring and table. Provide WiFi.

We had a full hook up site, you can save some $ by getting a site with a less.
Over all this is a relaxing location and very enjoyable. Decent size sites, do a little pick and choose if you want a little more space. Friendly onsite staff.
The wifi was on the slow end, but who goes camping to have home speed internet.
Lot's of fishing, crabbing on site, and so many CA State parks and historic areas of interest to visit.
There are previous reports of the road down to the camp...not as bad as they spoke, just beware of the hairpin turn, just angle for it to not be a problem.
As a FYI, the Mendicino coast is not AT&T friendly.

Don’t get scared by reviews of 14% grade on county road going down. It is a short stretch . We had 25 ft class C and it was just fine . We went up and down a few times . It becomes a zoo on long weekend with lot of tent campers in the mix. They rent Kayaks to go up the Albion river .. which was nice. Restaurant is closed due to Covid. Did nor use the bathrooms or showers. One dump was clean depending on time of the day. A small private beach was nice. Not exactly Sandy near the ocean.. but nice..

Very dusty area. Not a lot of green grass in September, so expect a lot of dust. Sites are packed in tight, so expect a party environment in the evenings during summer. Road to get down wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Friendly staff in the couple of interactions we had. Att service is non existent, Verizon worked well in off peak times and was unusable during peak times. Same goes for Wi-Fi

This park is right on the coast. Great for fishing. Sites are level, but the area is kind of dusty. Beautiful view of the river, coast, and valley. No AT&T data coverage. Verizon was slow, 2.3 down, .8 up for data. Starlink was great. 135 down and 5.78 up.
