Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on February 19, 2022We stayed here one night as we traveled from CA to Canada. It was the only place off I-5 that we could find as we hadn’t made reservations. We were pleasantly surprised to find it well run, very clean, and best of all quiet. Fields border the park on two sides and there was a nice walking trail at the back of the park where we and our dogs stretched our legs. We would return if in the area again.

Rate reflects KOA Value Kard discount for FHU w/cable TV. Check in went well with very pleasant lady. Nice areas to walk the dog. Gravel sites unremarkable and fairly level. Occupants of next site had noisy older kids and a large, aggressive breed dog that barked often. Showers were disappointing in that they were in need of refurbishing and cleaning. This was an ok stop for a night (or two). Not sure we'd stay again.

Off the road. Great camp hosts and met us at the door even at late check in. Gravel spot with a clean camp site. Pool was by appt only due to the virus. Mini golf for the kids available. My only complaint was the manure smell from the local field. Not the KOA's fault. Why does every KOA have a train at night. Same at the Shasta KOA. Lol. Dinner in town was only 10 min away. Would visit again.

All clean and in good condition. Staff was cheerful and attentive. Easy check-in. The only drawback is its proximity to Hwy 34 and the inevitable road noise. Otherwise a quiet camp. Not a bad price for full hookups.

The water here is completely awful tasting... it's like rust in the pipes. It's so bad, I poured my dog bottled water. You won't be able to brush your teeth. It's terrible. We would have maybe stayed another night but are leaving for sure due to this. Also, a good portion of sites are right along a noisy highway.

We were able to get a reservation on a holiday weekend on our trip south. We had a pull-thru full h/u site, which was reasonable with out KOA discount card. Check in was simple and the young lady very helpful and friendly. The internet worked, as did everything else, and there was a fenced dog park where I could throw the ball for my dog. It is just off hwy 34 so there is road noise during the day. The sites were packed mud with some gravel thrown in on the parking area; no cement patio, so the shoes got muddy getting in and out of the trailer. There were a number of long term campers there and it wasn’t very scenic, but if you just need an overnight while traveling it’s fine (but not in winter or early spring).

*** Water Warning: ***
The water was brown from the outdoor spout, even after letting it run to see if maybe that was the issue. The office staff said that this was normal and that the water is treated. So, unless you have a good filter system with multiple levels of filtration, you might want to consider bottle water here. We have a Clearsource dual filter system down to .2 microns—so our water filtered to be clear. Our neighbors used a Camco TastePure (the typical blue filters that you often see) and their water still came out brown in the RV.
Nice place to stay. Safe and quiet.
Sites were a little bit short. Not the KOA's fault but many of the sites were flooded from recent rains. Worth noting if you are heading there during a rainy season.
There is a nice walking trail on the campground and dog area.
Connectivity was good for both AT&T and Verizon.
Could not connect to wifi, but that is typical so we never rely on any campground wifi for work.
Overall, a good experience and would stay again.

I would definitly stay here again. The grounds are well maintaned and there is a swimming pool, miniature golf course, dog park, horseshoes, nature trail, and basketball court. The office staff was very nice and professional. There was a little road noise in the day but it faded at night for a peaceful nights sleep.

On a "let's see how far we can go in one day" trip, we were reaching the end of our day and having no luck finding a campground that was open (season) or answering the phone (Sunday), we saw the listing for the KOA. Which we normally bypass as they are generally not to our liking. The place is five miles off the I-5 corridor and relatively easy to find - in daylight. It is far enough from any main road as to be quiet enough. Check in was easy and fast as the front desk was still open. They offer the usual KOA set of amenities, which we weren't going to use. All the sites appeared to be pull-thrus. It did require one set of blocks to level but the site was large and easy to maneuver. And it was an easy 35 minute drive to a birthday dinner in downtown Salem which we were invited to when we contacted friends who happen to live nearby.
We would definitely stay here again as it was a quiet and peaceful place to hang out for a few days. It was a rainy March day which probably cut down on the number of screaming young ones, which we no longer have and prefer to mostly avoid. Cell reception was fine, hookups were easy to access, spaces were wide enough to navigate and not feel like your slide was going to come in contact with your neighbor's steps.

We stayed one night on our way south. The office staff was super nice.our site was fine. Nothing super special, but spacious enough and clean. The laundry was cheap, which is appreciated. We didn’t use the pool or bathrooms. It was a convenient stop for us.
