“Home of Heart of the Desert pistachios and wine!”
In the Chinese language, the meaning for pistachios literally means "happy nut." At their location in Alamogordo, New Mexico, their happy nut, “Peppy,” greets all visitors at the entrance of Eagle Ranch Groves. One of the most popular attractions at Eagle Ranch is their free farm tour. These tours offer their visitors an in-depth look at just how their delicious pistachios are grown and processed. Tours are offered Monday through Friday at 1:30 PM, from September through May. June through August, tours are offered Monday through Friday, twice a day at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM. We are happy to accommodate groups of 10 or more at other times by prearrangement. Eagle Ranch is a self contained agribusiness which means that they do everything to the crop, from start to finish, right on the premise. Tours take about forty-five minutes, and during that time, you'll visit the field, the processing plant, and packaging and shipping departments. It's a walking tour with wheelchair accessibility.
Very nice people. I am sure more services sans covid. You can buy cheese and crackers and crack open a bottle a wine next to vineyard. Wine is amazing. Bought 9 bottles after tasting
Cool tour and free samples.
