“it smells like teen spirit”

Nestled in the hometown of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, this quaint little park is a great place to stop whether your a fan of his music or just a fan of peaceful parks. It features a guitar statue, a sign with song lyrics and a marble stone marker.

We also passed the park trying to find it. It's going to be immediately on your left before you get on to the Young bridge. There's nothing wrong with the park or neighborhood. Most of the Aberdeen I saw was just old or run down. If you're a Nirvana fan, and in the area, this is a neat place to pop into for a sec. Walk under the bridge to the 'muddy banks of Wishkah' and feel like a total nerd like I did, haha

Put in address for 1311 E 2nd street Aberdeen, WA and it'll take you to the dead end where you can park and just walk up to underneath the bridge. Cool little spot! Don't forget to check out "Kurt's air guitar"!

Not easy to find, because it's very small.
Worried about the bad revues, but had no problems.

We drove past it - wish we hadn't have turned around and found the entrance. While one of the pieces of art is a very nice tribute to Kurt and his music, this "park" is anything but peaceful and quaint. I guess if teen spirit smells like urine, the tagline is right. It is nestled in a less than desirable neighborhood, there is drug paraphernalia on the ground and the locals who were frequenting the park were not who Aberdeen would probably want to advertise in a visitor's guide. I want my 15 minutes back.

Don’t go out of your way to stop at this park. In a very run down part of town and extremely small park.

This is a very moving place to visit. His childhood home is right there as well.

On Stanton & Second, almost under the bridge. Pretty little memorial to a musical genius.
