“"A lonely place to rest"”
The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, located in the beautiful rural countryside of Alabama is a place where all can “come away… to a lonely place and rest.” The Shrine itself is a place of worship open to people of all faiths, a place where travelers, pilgrims, families, and the seeking soul can find peace in the Presence of God. Within the Main Temple, the Blessed Sacrament is solemnly exposed and all are invited to spend time with Our Lord. Acres of rolling meadows and forests surround the Shrine, and there are a variety of sites to visit on the grounds. From the year-round Nativity Crèche, the gift shop castle, the Lourdes grotto overlooking the Warrior River, the John Paul II Eucharistic Center to the daily Masses, Sacrament of Confession and Adoration, the Shrine invites all to come and encounter God and find rest in His Heart.
Beautiful place with many things to do. There was the shrine and the lower church both beautiful. Also had outdoor gardens and a beautiful walking stations of the Holy Eucharistic which we had never heard of. Impressive stop!
