1300 Sunset Drive, Carlisle, IA
We woke up at 4 am, packed the car, and were able to leave at 5:10 in the morning.
Stopped here so the boys could change out of PJs and into clothes.
Stopped here to get out and stretch. We kicked the soccer ball around a little and explored the pond.
We got Burger King for the boys and immediately regretted the decision as NOBODY who was working wore masks or sometimes even gloves. I was the only one in the whole restaurant who had a mask on. Rebecca and I got Quiznos (slightly more clean) then ate at the park. The boys flew gliders and kicked a soccer ball and then we toured the train park. The park was pretty run down, but the train part was neat and the boys loved running around and exploring the trains.
We got into Sidney at about 4ish with the time change. The Best Western was right across from the Cabellas which had a pond and walking/bike path, so the boys got their bikes and rode around the pond for awhile. There was a monument to the Pony Express that we also got to explore. Back at the hotel, Rebecca ordered and got pizza from a local pizza place that turned out to be pretty good.
