Known as the "Gem of the Sierras", Crescent Meadow is another place you won't want to miss. Located in Giant Forest, the meadow is extremely popular for hikers because of its beautiful views. Most of the trails are pretty moderate, and you can catch a glimpse of beautiful wildflowers and abundant wildlife... perfect for a picture-perfect post-hike picnic.

The meadow is near Moro Rock, which boasts a panoramic view of the high Sierras and forests gulches. The Rock is accessed by a 400-step trail, but we can guarantee that every step will be worth the unprecedented view!

Devil's Postpile National Monument

Top off your journey at Devil's Postpile National Monument, a true geologic wonder. The monument consists of thousands of 60-foot columns of basalt formed nearly 100,000 years ago, and is now a beautiful site, with an unusual natural symmetry. Admire the unusual formation from below, and climb to the top to check out the view. Or, take a short hike from the park's ranger station to reach Rainbow Falls, a 101-foot waterfall that will take your breath away. Devil's Postpile is usually only open from June to October, so plan accordingly.
