I've always wanted to see Lake Berryessa, and it seems like a great midpoint up the state.
King Range, California, United States
The King Range Wilderness and Rocks and Islands Wilderness look like a gorgeous coastal space.
Finally, my trip would end, but really begin! The Lost Coast Trail is a 24 mile backpacking trail along the beach and around redwoods, which would pick up where the road trip leaves off.
