This area in Wyoming and Montana hold a special place in my heart. While in college I had the opportunity to spend 2 glorious summer's working in Yellowstone National Park. While there, I explored many of the areas in and around the park. Two of my favorite were Jackson, WY and Red Lodge Montana.
Jackson, Wyoming has grown so much since my first visit as a child (back in the 60's). It has boomed into a top vacation destination. My father always called a "Tourist Trap" but I absolutely love it.

So many things to do and see. People who only allow 2 to 3 days to tour are missing so much. Get off the beaten path, explore! If you do only have a short amount of time don't miss Old Faithful and Yellowstone Falls.

This place holds a special memory. I had a bear run out in front of my car. Didn't hit it but boy was I scared.
The road to Red Lodge on the Beartooth highway is the most beautiful drive I have ever been on. Only for those not scared of heights.
