This RV adventure takes McTraveler across many parts of iconic Route 66 as we make our way to a family wedding in St Louis.
First stop was at Camp Verde, AZ to have dinner with long time friends Steve and Mary Betcher.
Also visited the 1909 Courthouse Square, the historic Saint Rose Chapel on NM-91, and the Railroad Bridge across the Pecos River where the 1940 "Grapes of Wrath" was filmed.
Met fellow RVers, Kathy & Ed Winfield, from Wisconsin here. Hit it off and toured the local sights together. What fun!
Ed & Kathy Winfield followed us to Elk City to continue taking in the local tours with McTraveler. Along this route to the next campground in Elk City, OK we stopped on The Cross of Jesus Christ Ministries in Broom, TX.
What a great start ... the first leg of our 8,000 mile grand loop this year.
