Munising Essential Info

Munising is a small city in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, on the southern shore of Lake Superior. Despite a population of only 2,355 people, Munising is a popular tourist destination for travelers to the Upper Peninsula. This is due in large part to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, which is located just east of the city limits. The area is also known for its abundance of waterfalls, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling trails, and for Grand Island National Recreation Area, which is a large island located in Munising Bay.
