It was my first time camping here at Humbug Mountain. My site had 30 AMP service with water. Not all sites are electric. Beautiful park with access to the beach within a short walk. If you take your dog to the "black sand beach" be careful they can cut up their paws running here. There is a dump located here with very good access.

Beautiful campground views and close to many things to do, including hiking. Check out the Rock Face Creamery in Bandon also the Clam Chowder at Minute Cafe is good. Many small shops to browse for that special souvenir.

I gave this five stars as it is a unique park and location. I would take 1/2 star off for the restroom cleanliness. While not completely trashed they could have been a little cleaner on a daily basis. Still very usable. Hot showers are also available here, but I didn't use them.

Hedges planted for privacy between sites, which hummingbirds love. Walk to uncrowded rugged beach for sunset or beachcombing, which can only be accessed from park. Friendly, accomodating staff and hosts. Showers clean. Excellent value at $17. Negative is road noise. Nearby Port Orford has cool maritime history (crane dollie dock instead of marina), good grub at the Crazy Norwegian (pass on mediocre Griff's food), a nice laundry and decent grocery. Good base for day tripping to Bandon and beyond. Hike around Mt Humbug is worthwhile but takes some scambling over blown down trees from wind/ice event here and there.

We really enjoyed our stay at the park. It was quiet, and plenty of space. Close to Humbug mountain, and ocean. The only downside was the cell service, and proximity to larger stores, ie Walmart. When you fulltime with kids like us, being close to stores is important. As for cell service, the sites on the west side appeared to have better service.

It is a beautiful area. Good hiking and a great beach Clean restrooms and showers. Sites are close together, no real privacy. Right off 101, lots of road noise (though not a busy road). No cell reception in the actual campground, you either have to go out to the beach (dang!!) or take the Oregon Coast trail up to the old 101 where there are picnic tables located and scenic vista points with good reception.

One of my favorite RV parks ever. Nice sites. Park well maintained. Easy walk to a stunning and essentially private beach--at least it's only accessible from the park. The Humbug Mountain hike kind of terrified me with its drop offs but I loved it.

Just a wonderful place to stay. Nearby Port Orford has a few great restaurants. The coast here is hard to beat!

It's close the 101 so there is highway noise.

Nice State Park to use as a base for exploring up to Coos Bay. Extremely well maintained. Nice trail to the beach. We had a water and electric site. There were better sites located closer to the beach access. All were worth staying in. The dump station was also well maintained.
Not so good:
No Verison service. You have to drive toward Port Orford to pick it up.
There was road noise. If you are in a tent, you will hear trucks all day and night.

(This is an RVer’s review.) What a beautiful place along the Oregon coast! While not on the beach or with any ocean view, the woods and sounds of the (large) stream that meanders through the place is magnificent. It’s clean and well maintained and had a dump station. From an experience and beauty standpoint it’s 5-Star.

We just loved this place. This was one of the cleanest best maintained campgrounds we’ve ever stayed out. The grounds were immaculate. The fire pit had been cleaned and raked. The camp host was the best, caring for the place like it should be. The toilets and showers were spotless with a level of cleanliness that was five star!! The site was paved and flat. You are fairly close to the other sites but many sites including ours (#20) have large bush hedges that block your view of adjoining sites. Fairly close to the highway there was some noise from the logging trucks but by evening that stopped.
Oregon State Parks are great!

pros: clean bathrooms & showers, lots of water spigots nearby, small sites but lots of trees so you don't feel close to your neighbors, super close to the coast (could hear the waves at night)

cons: okay service

[Internet. Verizon via iPhone 12: 22 mbps down and 5 mbps up with 59 ms ping.]

I’m convinced that whoever built Harris Beach SP Campground also built this one at Humbug Mountain SP. The bathrooms and showers look just like each other. They are equally as gorgeous. But anyway.

PROS

→ The landscaping is impeccable. The grass is lush. The trees have fuzzy green moss. Everything is so pretty.
→ The road and sites are paved.
→ The beach isn’t too far of a walk away.
→ The showers here are glorious. They are individual stalls. The showers are free with HOT water. Maybe a little too hot (temperature is fixed) but I’m not complaining! The water pressure is great.
→ Our site has water and power.
→ There’s a free dump station with water fill.

CONS

→ None that I can think of.

5-stars - This campground is gorgeous and has hit everything out of the park.
