No reservations needed to come to the quarry and hunt for ancient fossils! $10 per person per hour, open during the season, weather permitting.
We were pleasantly surprised by this location! We had two junior rangers with us and they were diligently working on their packet to earn a badge. The trails were easy and marked clearly, the surround view was gorgeous, and history was fascinating. A small museum is attached to the visitor center and there is a video on loop to help with the history of the area. This was one of the cleanest parks we have ever experienced and the rangers were wonderful.
