Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on December 05, 2022We stayed here in July of 2015, which is an idiotic time to stay anywhere in Phoenix.
But, we had just purchased our rig, and under the recommendation of a friend, we parked her here while we figured out the basics for a bit.
We are not 55+, but being as it was mid-summer (off season) and we promised that we would not wild-out, they let us in. Also, we had to send them a picture of our rig (because it's older than 10 years), which was fine because our rig is BEAUTIFUL (damnit!)
In the middle of summer, this place was empty. Which was fine because we got the pool all to ourselves. And it felt like we had a big side 'lawn' (which we could have wilded-out in, but didn't due to our promise not to). If the place was full, it might feel a bit cramped.
Typical, RV resort though. FHU, cable, well maintained, gravel pad with concrete patio, code to enter via 2 gates, in the midst of a suburban area. Noise wasn't bad though. Also, golf-cart-guy is there to help you park (you will be helped - no other option).
We don't carry a dog with us, but there are breed restrictions here.

This campground truly is a resort. Complete with three pools, five spas, two gyms, a billiard room, two poker rooms, a theater room, and much more.
Some of the pros: free campground wide wifi with a very quick connection, many amenities and activities, location, nearby shops and services, friendly staff, clean bathrooms and common areas.
On the downside we had trouble finding a shower with hot water. It may have been a busy time when she went to the bath house. We also would have enjoyed a picnic table at the site. You also need a 50 amp male to 30 amp female adapter for shore power. These things took nothing away from the experience though. We really loved this resort.
Unfortunately we were only here for two days but we will definitely be back to take advantage of the amenities and activities.

We stayed here on our thousand trails trails collection pass so our nightly rate was free so I can't comment on price but We have read the other reviews and agree this is a beautiful resort, bound with amenities and close to shopping I could see someone staying much longer than our 2 days. The staff were friendly, the other rv'ers were friendly and our stay here was much to short so we will be back. So the cons of Mesa spirit, the front entrance is easy to miss, we almost passed it a second time when we were trying to find it. The park is very large (1800 spaces as I was told by a friendly neighbor) which does lead to getting a little lost at times venturing to the different amenities. It is in the flight path of the airport so lots of plane traffic overhead most all thru the day and the city-scape noise outside the park could be annoying for some. Overall this is a wonderful place and we will be back for a longer stay definitely. Deserving of 5 stars.

We stayed at Mesa Spirit during the off season. I could tell, by the literature, that this is a 'destination park' and would probably be crazy busy between November and March. We were there in April and most of the folks had already gone home for the summer. Regarding the nightly rate, as Thousand Trails members, with the Trails Collection, there was no charge for this park. I do love that Trails Collection membership but suspect we would not be able to get in here between Nov - March.
We were met by very friendly work campers who helped us park (excellent job, BTW). Before we could even get backed in, the neighbor next door started complaining about how big our rig was...the work camper simply smiled, turned to me as said, "Welcome to the neighborhood." The neighbor behind us was quite nice and even came to trim back the citrus tree that was stabbing us as we tried to hook up the power. Overall, the place was immaculate and the staff could not have been nicer.
Mesa Spirit is conveniently located and excellent services are available within a few blocks.

Once we got parked, it was a nice place with good pools, laundry, showers etc. Also very nice neighbors and staff Great WiFi was a highlight during the day but it slowed quite a bit in the evening when everyone started streaming 'I Love Lucy' reruns.
Showers are by the pools and were clean with rarely more than a couple of people in them. Laundry facility was large with good modern machines. 1.50 wash and .25 per 15 min to dry. Two pools and 4 large hot tubs in the main area.
Sites are gravel for the rig and a large concrete pad for the TV or Towed. Each site has a mailbox with USPS delivery at the site. Power is clean and water pressure is good.
This place even has a quilting center equipped with many tables, cutting mats, various quilting tools, power and lots of space to work on larger projects. There is also a silversmith shop and a lapidary space. (What the heck is a Lapidary?)
Downside is that the place is like miniature golf for RV's with lots of narrow sharp turns, dodging vehicles parked in the street and pretty much all back in 90 degree sites with very little room to maneuver into the spot. Despite being very clear on our 40' length,. It took them 3 tries to find a spot big enough for us.
We will likely stay here again despite being very tight to comfortably drive 60' of truck/trailer. and we will make sure to order up one of the rare pull through sites.

Lovely, well tended very large, 55+ community with large amount of park models; RVs fit in small sections within permanent residents and seasonal renters. Lots of activites, most are free, lot of bike riders in the massive community. Mostly quiet, an occasional plane may be disruptive. Mail/packages delivered right to your site for free so order up! Close to everything you'd expect in an urban area.

We stayed here as part of our Thousand Trails membership and paid no nightly free. We've been here twice. Not much to complain about. Great staff, free cookies upon check-in, three pools, five hot tubs, gym, five laundry rooms and tons of other amenities and activities. Being a 55+ park, it's about as quiet after dark as it can be save a little traffic and airplane noise. Great Verizon and AT&T signal and speeds. Plus you're in Mesa with plenty of shopping, dining and more. Everything is generally clean and well maintained.
Only real knock is that the spots are tight. But each site has a concrete patio and parking pad. Maneuvering might be a bit tight for bigger rigs but staff takes you to your site and guides you in. Plenty of long term residents in park models and RV's but no broken down rigs or junk piles here. Great place to stay to visit the Phoenix area!

Park now under Encore system. Simply stated it’s a trailer park and not a resort. Too crowded with a failing water system. It seemed that a water break was a weekly event. The park has no standards of any type ... at least that are enforced:
Pit bulls that behaved aggressive when being walked
At least one wolf hybrid that looked like it was straight out of Yellowstone NP
Multiple vehicles on sites to the extent that even the campers struggled to get in and out
Stacks of trash due to small dumpsters that overflowed daily
A very small set of club rooms for woodworking etc .... you aren’t getting in unless you arrive first
Only two pools - however very well maintained
Out of date shower houses
Broken down and seemingly abandoned trailers/campers
Trash dumpsters randomly placed on camping pads
I’ll stop as on day 2 we would have departed except they have a strict No Refund policy. Save your money.

Stayed here last winter and this winter. I came backe because of location (a daughter in Cave Creek and a sister in Gold Canyon). Sites are tight, place is run down, and this year thefts abound. I personally had a $6000 dollar bike stolen which was attached by a kryptonite cable locking system. When I reported it to the office, I didn’t get “come to the office and look at tapes”, nor “I’m sorry”. They noted it! I talked with other RV residence and found out I’m not the only one. In fact an employee told me about a theft of their (maintenance) vehicle and cart batteries. If you have valuables keep driving!
