Oooohh I love it here! What a relaxing way to spend your afternoon and evening sitting back and relaxing in Steamboat Springs natural hot springs. There are multiple pools with varying temperatures, so you can choose which one is the most comfortable for you to sit in and enjoy.
The views here are beautiful and calming...however...the later in the evening it gets...the views will change... the more risqué the dressing becomes until clothing becomes optional all together - so just be aware and plan your visit accordingly....lol!
There is a small cabin to change in if you did not wear your bathing suit or if you want to change after your soak. They also offer massages.
I can imagine that the drive up during specific times of the year can be quite challenging so be prepared.
Helpful tips:
*Cash only - no credit cards accepted! Be prepared!
*Walking up and down hills and stairs required
*Pools have natural stone stairs that have some algae on them so they are slick - use hand rails or stones for balance
*Pools are clear with varying degrees of warmth
*If going at night bring some sort of headlamp or flashlight there are no lights to get back to the parking lot
*No food or alcohol allowed - no glass
*Bring water
*Bring a towel - but if you forget - you can rent a towel for a small fee
This is a definite must do when in Steamboat Springs! Can't wait to come back!!
Adult: $15 RULES: Nobody under age 18 after sunset. Clothing optional after dark.
You have to go! The road is often the concern so consider one of the shuttle services in town departing from many lodging locals. The hot pools have a temperature that's just right for you, Goldilocks.
$15 admission for an adult. Great pools. I would have felt more comfortable about the road to get there if I had a vehicle that was higher up off the ground or 4WD/AWD but my maxima got me there.
The most beautiful hot springs I've ever been to. It's a little bit of a walk to get to, wouldn't bring my grandma. But for regularly fit families you'll be fine.
So relaxing and beautiful here. The different pools varied in temperature enough that some were refreshing (cool down) while others eased aching muscles. It was not crowded either.
Best part of our trip hands down! It was great being in the warm water surrounded by snow. At night it is clothing optional. Only $15 to get it and was worth it. No alcohol or food able to go in though.
I love it here. I dream of this place often. It's a beautiful oasis.
