We rang in 2015 hère in site 164. I was blown away by the beauty of this specific site and the sites on either side (163 and 165). We backed up our trailer and enjoyed views of the bay. The site sits up a little high from the beach but there are plenty of logs as "steps" to get down to. The beach is a "rocky" type of beach which was awesome for our son who loved to explore under the rocks. There was a nice picnic table and the fire ring was in the perfect spot allowing us to sit fireside while enjoying sweeping views of the bay. There was also a cooking grate on the fire rings so bring your cast iron!

This RV park was HUGE. Tons and tons of campsites, most of which were tucked into the woods. There is a big indoor family center, with comfy sofas, hot coffee, ping pong table, big screen projection TV and a hot tub outside around the corner. In addition to the family center there is an "adults only" center for those of us who don't want to hang around rambunctious kids. I can't give a review on that since we were with our son.

The site was a little tight for us to get into but eventually we made it. It truly is a beautiful site and if all you do is just sit by the fire and enjoy the view, you won't be disappointed.

The bathrooms were maintained very clean and were within a nice walking distance.

There are also a few playgrounds for the kids, a tennis court and miniature golf.

The town of LaConner is a great place to visit when you are here. Don't miss it, that's for sure. The boutiques down by the water are a lot of fun to explore and there is a huge (HUGE) antique shop that can easily eat up an entire day if you let it (if you're into that sorta thing).

Lastly, the management here was very attentive. Their system is very organized and they are super friendly. When you check in at the gate, you are given all your instructions while you sit in your truck. If you leave the park, to get back in you are given a code.

Remember site 164 is the magic site! I almost forgot to mention that at night, you can hear the waves hit the shore. So peaceful.

We camped here from July 19th to August 2nd, 2015. While we agree with J5MM's review below, we thought we would a add a few more comments about camping here in the summer time.

This campground is very large. On the campgrounds website, they provide a map, and I would glance that over before arriving. We arrived on a Sunday around 12, and we, along with several other campers, had a tough time finding a spot that was open. It gets very crowded here on the weekend, and I would recommend arriving on a Tuesday or Wednesday, if possible. Also, if you are desiring a water view, make sure to share this info to your host when checking in. There is a wait list procedure they follow for the water view sites and some satellite friendly spots.

I would go ahead and plan as if you are not going to have any cell reception during your stay here. We were only able to get reception on the beach, near the boat launch and the family center, and it could be slow and spotty at times. The wifi at the family center is through a satellite, so it was spotty and unreliable as well.

This campground is surrounded by a rocky beach and the Skagit Bay, and is just a short walk to get to from the southwest and southeast portion of the campground. The beaches were surprisingly never too crowded while we were there, and it was a easy spot to drop the kayaks in. This campground was a great "homebase" as it is close to the ferry terminals, Bellingham, downtown La Conner, Anacortes and Deception Pass. Overall, it was a beautiful campground, but can get crowded, especially on the weekends.

Great location on the water. The park has a boat ramp where we launched our paddle boards and enjoyed paddling around the area. Awesome sunsets every night. Enjoyed the beaches and area.

On the negative side the park is dusty, not terribly clean, and could use a little more maintenance. Overall the location makes up for any negatives.

9/29/17 Update -
We came back in the fall and really loved the park. Not crowded and not dusty (maybe due to recent rains). The sunsets were just as awesome and the paddleboarding is great. Good AT&T on the Mobley. I added a YouTube Video link in the blog section.

We stayed here in the middle of September 2016. The campground is not known for having cell service, we were able to boost our Verizon and get acceptable service.

The surrounding beauty here is amazing and after an intense 5 day haul down the Alcan we needed a place to relax and hit reset. At the time we were here the campground was transitioning over to winter so not everything was open. Most of the laundry machines were full of quarters and inoperable. The young man at the gate was super nice and so was the guy who filled our propane tank. You do need a car to drive to towns though because it's out a ways.

The park has a great location with some really nice views of the bay, though there are limits on fishing and crabbing due to being on a native reservation. The campground itself is pretty average. Some sites are pretty tight and the roads are dusty, but mostly fine to navigate. For a campground that only has a small percentage of sites with full hookups (<10%), these were the worst bathrooms we've come across in a while. Staff was mostly helpful though.

Most areas of the campground were ok for ATT, but dead for Verizon, could only get a signal when you went out by the bay.

We enjoyed our stay at La Conner Thousand Trails the last week of June 2018.

This TT park has less than 10% full hookup sites but a really nice dump station at the entrance/exit.

Entering and exiting this park is easy due to the large driveway entrance. We had no issues moving around the park or parking our 38' fiver.

Staff at La Conner was very nice. Tip: If the onsite convenience store is closed they have firewood and ice at the entrance ranger station.

We stayed at the back of the park along the bay and had decent cell coverage on ATT and Verizon. T Mobile was no use at all unfortunately :)

If your looking for a dog park you wont find one here. The "off-leash" area is across the street in what they call phase II. Its literally a maintenance road that they allow your dog to run up and down off leash. It was better than nothing, I must say, but not a dog park LOL

The town of La Conner is really close to the park but has more of a touristy type feel and small shops. Really nice post office and the postal lady was really friendly.

Major shopping and restaurants can be found nearby in the town of Mt Vernon, approx. 15 minutes or so drive.

All in all La Conner is a decent park and we will definitely stay there again when in the area.

We stayed at La Conner as Thousand Trails Camping Pass holders and the rate reflects that. We really enjoyed our two weeks at La Conner. We've stayed at nicer parks to be sure but the surroundings were beautiful and there's so much to do.

The big knock against La Conner is the small number of sewer sites. We got lucky and snagged one when we arrived. It was a little dicey getting level but we managed. The sites are a bit cramped and it can be dusty. There is a lottery for premium sites every day, sites that have at least two premium features (sewer, satellite possibility and water front).

But the park is right on the Similik Bay and it's beautiful! And the attractions in the area are many. Anacortes, Whidbey Island, Deception Pass, ferry service to the San Juans and Vancouver Island and more. We even made the relatively short drive to Vancouver, BC. The sunsets are amazing and the tides are 10+ feet. The nearby Navy base means plenty of fighter aircraft flying around if you're into that sort of thing. We had good AT&T and Verizon service too. And they might not like me advertising this, but they accepted packages with no fee.

Of course, snagging a sewer site right off the bat helped, but we really enjoyed La Conner and all it has to offer.

We really enjoyed La Conner RV & Camping resort. We had a great campsite near the water. Truly picturesque. The campsites were very private because of the foliage. We really enjoyed walking along the shore. The bathhouses were clean, the staff was kind. Unfortunately the showers were lukewarm and intense and need improvement. The family center has a wifi hotspot.

Unfortunately we didn't stay long but we highlighted our stay in this video: https://youtu.be/gylPbhi5RZk at :057.

Extremely overpriced. Especially considering my site’s electrical power box did not even work. The sites are unreasonably close together, with very little privacy. The employee who serviced the hot tub on Saturday, August 3 was great; very professional and friendly. Regardless, the hot tub should be open well before 10 AM.
The bathrooms were dated but clean and functional.
Bottom line, I will not stay here again.

We were fortunate enough to get site 152 which is close to laundry, beach and family lodge. This means we were able to log into WIFI from our site. Otherwise we had 2 Verizon bars had we not been able to login from our site. Of course you can walk to lodge, sit and view lake and log in there.
This is the best Thousand Trails park we’ve stayed at in the Pacific NW. Sure, it’s more a campground rather than a resort but it worked for us.
The sunset is nice from the beach area. You will hear fighter jets from Whidbey Naval Air Station occasionally. We actually liked that as another camper said it’s sound of our freedom! LaConner is a cute town just a few minutes away. Our favorite activity was visiting Deception Pass State Park about 20 minutes away.
Great area of the country with mainly sunny weather in the 60/70 while we were here. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful.
