“More Fun Than A Barrel Of Monkeys”
Pocono Snake & Animal Farm is one of those Pocono activities that has been delighting kids of all ages for over 40 years, with everything from lizards to lemurs. A perfect “starter zoo” for the little ones, who can bottle-feed the deer, goats, and pot bellied pigs, or feed the monkeys and pet the rabbits, all in an area they can visit within an hour’s time. From the huge 23 foot python to the tiniest Cotton-Top Tamarin, our “pets” will thrill the entire family. Our family-owned and operated facility began over 30 years ago. Many of our animals and reptiles found their way here by “donation”, because their previous owners were unable to properly care for their exotic pets. These animals now lead happier, healthier lives, getting the attention they deserve, some have been even made appearances with such celebrities as Jack Hanna and Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin! Some of the animals we provide homes for are Blackbeary, our very personable black bear (she loves bear treats from our visitors), lots of funloving monkeys who show off for fruit and peanuts from funloving humans, a family of sloths, Madagascan ringtailed lemurs, bobcats, raccoon, chinchillas, armadillo, a black leopard, petting animals, and many more. Feed baby bottles to goats or potbellied pigs! Our reptile collection will please even the fussiest herpetologist, who will fully appreciate the 14 foot King Cobra, 100 year-old, 150-pound Alligator Snapping Turtle, and outdoor pond equipped with alligators, goldfish, and turtles. The reptile display inside includes various exotics, from our African Puff Adder and Albino Monocled Cobra, to Eastern Diamondback Rattlers and lots in between.

During our family trip to the Poconos, we brought the kiddos out to this small animal rescue/petting zoo to feed the animals and get some furry therapy. My first suggestion would be to wait until... Read more
Right. I don't particularly enjoy seeing animals in captivity but went here as a member of a larger group. The place was clean and staff members were kind but personally I just felt sad to see the... Read more
