“a treehouse resort with its own waterpark”
Nestled on the banks of the spring-fed Comal river, enjoy awesome tree-top views and unlimited use of the Waterpark during your stay, and extended access to some of your favorite rides including the Master Blaster uphill water coaster. These units can sleep up to 12 guests in the three bedroom/two bath Treehaus.
In 1966, along a stretch of a tree-lined, spring-fed river on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, Bob and Billye Henry and their three children began creating what would eventually become the world's first water resort and the nation's most popular summertime waterpark. Since what they were building had never been attempted before, the Henry's relied on their own vision of combining water fun and resort accommodations into a family destination.
Hill Country Getaway - When the waterpark is not open, during our “Hill Country Getaway” season, The Resort at Schlitterbahn becomes a peaceful oasis from which to explore the Texas Hill Country and the fun, food, festivals and fabulous shopping of historic New Braunfels. Hill Country Getaway rates are now available until April 25, 2013. New Braunfels is a great destination for a family, a romantic getaway, shopping with the girls or Spring Break. We are close to Landa Golf Course and perfectly situated near downtown New Braunfels and Gruene, Texas. Year-round, enjoy heated pools, free wireless internet access, volleyball, horseshoes and a children's playground.
During the summer months staying at The Resort at Schlitterbahn puts you just steps away from the #1 waterpark in the world with world-famous rides and epic river adventures.
