Use the blue marsh recreation area address to get to the day use beach swimming area. It’s free to use during the day. You park-free, easy walk to bathrooms/changing rooms, and then easy walk down to sand and into the water! There is also a small playground, grills, and a snack/food shop-not sure if their hours though. No lifeguards, but a great spot to enjoy the water-in the designated swim area it’s a nice gradual water depth change-perfect for kids, and the sand is smooth. Very relaxing during the day, can get a bit crowded in the evening/weekends.
It’s. .25 mile hike to the waterfall and near is shallow water perfect for catching little fish and exploring in the water. It’s so easy to get to and there is a bathroom at the parking lot. I’ve seen many pets there too. Only issue can be parking, can get super crowded on weekends, but when we go mid week we always find parking.
This is a beautiful park with soaring trees, multiple playgrounds, curious ducks-it’s like something out of a hallmark movie! It’s right across the street from Wilbur chocolate, the local chocolate store and near shops and restaurants. They have restrooms open and close parking. Definitely a wonderful spot to stop and enjoy for 5 minutes or 2 hours!
Beautiful hotel with epic views, it’s right on the beach, and it has a fabulous indoor pool with giant slide. Book it-it’s amazing!
Beautiful view. Please note this tower is a for profit facility and charge you to use the tower. Once upstairs many of the observation tools are broken or missing pieces. Not well maintained, still, a beautiful view.
Very busy place with friendly staff and lots of options. I was prepared to be wowed by the taste and texture, but it was just ‘good’ not exceptional. Free parking behind the building and a beautiful water display for the kids to enjoy next to it.
Come here and walk back behind the visitors center (around the left side) for a beautiful outdoor hot spring where you can touch the water and see the beautiful grounds. We arrived 2 minutes before 5pm when they were closing but the staff still helped us enjoy our trip! Must see stop, right in town. Free parking if you follow the signs.
For a newer hotel we were very disappointed. The trashes were all stuffed full and over flowing. The main floor bathroom toilet wouldn’t flush, the paper towel rolls didn’t work. In the room the shower head didn’t work and it was just poor quality construction. Staff was nice, but would not recommend staying here.
We stopped with the kids while passing thru Indiana and it is indeed free and such an amazing museum that goes on and on-it’s breathtaking. Parking was metered but close.
Stayed in 2022 and it’s been redone. Rooms are beautiful and pool is newer and nicer too. Great staff and comfy beds.
