Bartender Zac was both knowledgable about the house beers and the city. The tuna spring roll salad was delicious. Terrific brewery food within walking distance of the newly renovated Double Tree.
Light midday crowd with Patsy Cline sweetly singing from the jukebox. Cheap domestic draws and interesting company. Locals recommend this place for a greasy meal and (as we were lucky to experience) the elusive "house round" of beers.
Super friendly staff, quaint rooms and great location: Port Inn offers free bikes to ride, ample parking for your rental car and a staff filled with local knowledge.
Be sure to pop into the Thirsty Goat (located a u-turn down the hallway from the lobby) for a local brew from nearby Apalachicola.
Beautiful park. Winding roads in and around streams and rivers brimming with fish. The lodge (or "resort") is quite nice. Don't expect cell service, or consistent wifi, but order the catfish at the restaurant and enjoy a tech free couple days near the water.
Easy to get to, kind staff and a quick walk to the beautiful casino across the way. Opt for a second floor room if possible and treat yourself to some fruit loops from the free AM breakfast.
