This was a neat spot to stop on our road trip a few years ago. It’s not a large aquarium by any means, but it was in a nice mall that was good for getting a meal and doing some shopping. Our preschool aged boys loved taking a break and hearing us read the facts about the various fish posted along the wall of the food court.

We stayed here a few years ago with our preschool aged boys. Our oldest loved staying in KOAs along our road trip and this one was fun because we had a nice place to grill hot dogs and marshmallows for dinner and dessert! Everything was clean and well maintained and the staff were so friendly!

We stayed here in July 2016. It was our first time staying at a KOA, and we immediately adjusted our item art for the rest of the road trip to stay at as many KOAs that were on our route! We had reserved a tent site, but after an abnormally heavy rain during the week, the site we had reserved was pretty wet, but still dry enough to camp. The owners offered us a cabin at a discounted rate that had just opened up because the person who had reserved it decided to leave early. It was such a wonderful experience for us and our preschool aged sons! The bathrooms were pristine and looked recently renovated. The pool was fun for all of us, and the boys played on the playground before we checked out since it had started to dry up after the heavy rains. We didn’t use the laundry room, since this stop was early in our trip, but I did check it out. At the time, there was even a treadmill in there in case you wanted to exercise while you did laundry.
This Welcome Center was AMAZING. The staff were very friendly and informative! There were some great exhibits set up inside about the history of the region, as well as a fun play area for kids, and clean bathrooms!
We visited Shelby Farms Park in July 2016. Everything was clean, well maintained, and our sons (preschoolers at the time) loved the playgrounds. We will definitely return next time we’re in the area.
I've been visiting here off and on for over 15 years. There's always something in bloom and always lots to see. Wonderful for taking a quiet walk, finding a place to sit down and read or picnic, or to take pictures.
