I was unimpressed. They don't clear the trails and yet have warning signs posted about chiggers in the area. You pay $7 pp to access the park so you would think they would take care of that.
I walk her 5 mornings a week. It is well kept by the city of Mansfield and a beautiful oasis in the metroplex.
My family loved watching the Dr. Pepper commercials over the years in the theater. We enjoyed the history of the famous soda. Didn't know Big Red Soda was part of the Dr. Pepper family until going there. My son is a huge Dr. Pepper fan and we had a visitor from out of town so we drove down to Waco to visit the museum.
Love this! It apparently tours the country, so no idea how long it will be here. But it is done by an eye doctor...fun huh?
You can only tour this if you go on the bus tour of this company. When you arrive you will be amazed at the condition of the place. They need help keeping the place from falling apart. The owners have kept the place as it was when Oswald roomed here...and it shows. Carpet is old and needs cleaned, it is kind of creepy, like you step back into time, but it's interesting nonetheless. It's worth a visit if you can go, but give a donation too, to help these poor people to keep it open for visitors, otherwise I think it will fall into ruin. It has been a long time since he lived here, after all...
My family of 4 had a great time doing this. We did it using a Groupon. We have kids who are 13 & 16 years old so it was perfect for us. Way fun!
Don't skate here unless you like puddles of water and crappy ice...
This is a great place. You can check out games and play them, you can eat food from food trucks, you can take your dog to the little dog park, you can walk the paths, people watch, see concerts, do Tai Chi, and just feel like you're one of the cool kids when you're here. It's a different vibe in the daytime than in the evening. Take a picnic, or get a meal from the restaurant in the middle of the park. Fun. Lots to do.
We bought a membership for a year and made it there 2x. My kids went with us, then with school and then I took them back again over Spring Break. They were in middle school and high school. On the 3rd visit they were bored and we left earlier than I expected because of it. We did not renew the membership. I was unimpressed with all the political correct crap that we keep getting shoved down our throats with regard to environmentalism...Visit it if you must...it's one of the things everyone says you must do if you are in Dallas.
