This place is off the turnpike about 20 minutes. It is a hidden gem. It is a bison ranch owned by brothers Bud and Wally Koeppen. They have an adorable gift shop as well as bison products for purchase. They are happy to share their passion for the USA ‘s national mammal. They offer hayrides to meet the bison as well.
I stayed here last year and it was a nice typical hotel stay. This year I am amazed at the improvements. The breakfast bar for the free breakfast has been now moved to its own room. Fresh bagels, make your own waffles, fresh fruit, breakfast meats, build your own breakfast burritos and of course a new coffee machine. The daily room service is great, taking the time to arrange my makeup strewn all over the counter on a fresh towel, I know that person cares about guest service. There are all sorts of little things being done around here that have greatly improved their hospitality and our stay.
Casey, Illinois is a quaint town with BIG attractions. My husband and I stopped into Casey on our way back to Ohio from Kansas City. We had a great time. It was a great day trip. Start with breakfast, and visit the sites(which were cool and fun) lunch and shop. We had some great conversations with some of the merchants. Friendly, clean city.
Clean, simple, modern. Great price! It was comfortable and clean. No weird smells, no leaking toilets, it all looked well kept.
